I tried lard on our duoprop round about the end of July last. Result was excellent when we took boat out in December - no growth whatsoever after severe fouling prior to July. However some say that the worst growth takes place early in the season so I will give it another go when the boat goes back in the water, hopefully in Feb.
Mind you I don't know if lard is widely available in the Med.
