having just purchased a Seamaster 23 mc, the steering from the outdrive leaves a lot to be desired. I understand that there are several add ons which would improve the situation. any advice please.
The chances of getting an outdrive to go and stay in a straight line are virtuall nill. Best you keep your money in your pocket and practice with the steering. Get the wife to have a go too that way youdont have the arguments when you need the comfort break.
I have had sterndrive boats for the last 25+ years. They do wander at low speeds but you will get used to it and react automatically. Forget bolt-ons and look at the positve side, i.e easy to steer in reverse, easy to clear fouled props etc. Enjoy!
