Hi
The boats been out of water for 4 weeks, have just refloated her and reading manual it says squeeze the rubber stern gland to let water out and grease. Mine doesn’t seem squeezable and how do you grease?
Having taken a photo it appears that the screw on top could be a vent screw, is this the case and what is the correct procedure for venting air and greasing is.

The instructions you have are for a Volvo seal. The one in your photograph is made by Vetus (see pp181-3 of their catalogue www.vetus.co.uk ) It is a double lip seal in the forward part and water lubricated by the pipe coming in the top - this will be a bleed from the engine cooling system. I do not think the seals need grease, and the screw is probably a bleed to let air out, but it is positively lubricated when the engine is running.

Suggest you contact Vetus for instructions.
