My (30 yo) stern gland lubricator is knackered, the screw thread on the piston is worn to the point where it can no longer apply (sufficient) pressure to the lubricant. Looking for replacements I see some at c.£50 and some at c. £30 described as "quick release". Does anyone know the difference, any models that should be avoided or can be endorsed?

Thanks,

Steve

Fit a water-lubricated gland from Deep Sea Seals or similar - I've forgotten what turning a greaser feels like.
Mind you, if/when you dry out your T27 you'll have to squeeze the air out on refloating OR add a gravity feed from the water-cooled exhaust.

Thanks Nigel, Graham kindly sent me a photo earlier today and it looks good to me, so I'm just waiting to hear how he wants paying /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
