I wonder if anyone can help a friend of mine. He is looking for either a 90Hp or 120Hp Evinrude /Johnson stern drive. (Model No DU/13B) or an old V4 outboard to convert. He live in the Portsmouth area.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Stern Drive, trouser presses

Bit mixed up. There are no Johnson/Evinrude sterndrives. OMC (the company that till recently manufactured Johnson+Evinrude) used to make sterndrives but they were branded "OMC" not Johnson or Evinrude. The Johnson/Evinrude brands were only ever used for outboards (er....and snowmobiles), not sterndrives.

You'll find plenty of V4 Johnson/Evinrude outboards for sale secondhand (they're total junk IMHO by the way). But there's no way you could sensibly convert an outboard to a sterndrive or vice versa, I mean absolutely no way, it would be easier to convert a trouser press or a cement mixer or something into a sterndrive.
