I've got a pair of Steiner Skipper bins and the button for the compass light got knocked in the cockpit and needed to be reinstalled.
Steiner wanted £219.99 to fix them. The bins only cost either £250 or £275 a couple of years ago so I declined and now no longer have an illuminated compass.
At that price I would rather go and buy a new pair from someone else for the same money.
Repair costs and automatic obsolescence are getting gout of hand
