Steel Boats. Thinking of buying ?

Quite a few vids to while away the dark winter nights and stop you buying stuff off ebay that really really dont need.
It also saves you having to get to the door before your wife when the Evri courier makes her daily visit, or is that just me.

Have been on the receiving end of both steel and before that wooden boats.

The Medway is marine version of the the legendary elephants Graveyard, where everything goes to die.
Boatyards are full to the brim with all the stages of dereliction possible , many semi hidden under rotting canvas, the results of long abandoned restorations when the magnitude of the task finally becomes obvious to even the most enthusiastic restorer.
Wooden boats are now fairly rare as they sort of self disassemble.
Steel once was not a problem as the river was blessed with many small commercial yards who could do a lift and bit of plating on the side for cash.
All now gone and a need to search far and wide to get somebody to fix .
Glassfibre is not so obliging and resolutely refuses to go away, usually just lying there with a gaping hole in the stern with the outdrive(s) lying in the dust nearbye.
