Steamy windows!!

Diesel heater seems to be the better solution so might look for something keeping you warm until budget has been secured

A properly installed diesel will bring you a cosy, dry, comfortable climate when underway or moored.

A few years ago came across a crayon like stick at the motorcycle show, never seen anything like it ( tried washing up liquid and spuds ) you rubbed it on visor / window and buffed it in, you couldn't steam it up if you tried. To the point you could write things on Windows with it & guess what happened when they steamed up ! Lol !
Might be worth a Google.
Also yes you want more techie but your limited with 12v and a outboard.
Maybe something like above or rain x with a good 12v heater fan ?
Failing that a massive inverter and hope your outboard output can keep up !!:encouragement:

old school low tech solution---when i was fishing--day/night/winter/summer---always had my head out the wheel house

Thanks for all the suggestions, I suppose I was thinking somebody out there had a miracle for me, guess not huh !!
Back to the poor asthmatic 12v demister with a squegie and a king Edward !!

With a couple of alternators a churning out 70 amps each say 33 amps i not really an issue.
Modern outboards have very powerful alternators but they use a large part of the output for all the electronics in the engine itself

No. But with a single outboard featuring a 44 A alternator (44 A max, that is), there won't be a lot juice left over for supplying other consumers or charging batteries.
