Steaming & anchored lights

Don't tell the mobos, but I'm I'm thinking a full blown twinkling Christmas tree on the foredeck this December, complete with multicoloured lights, baubles and a giant white LED star on top :D

You'd be in good company - Tom Cunliffe always used to hoist a medium-sized tree to the masthead of his pilot cutters :)

So as a matter of interest, how many forumites display an all round white light (and sidelights ?) when in the tender under outboard power ? How do you go about this ?

Just a torch for us, I'm afraid.

We don't do seven knots, so we'd only need a white light to be fully correct. Maybe I should get one of those ones with a sucker in the base that sticks to the top of the engine, before we next go to Dartmouth :)

I keep a spare lifebuoy light in my tender attached to spring clips in the inverted position when not in use. I just invert it to switch on when using dingy at night.

Sounds like an excellent idea! Our own lifebuoy lights wouldn't be so good as they flash, but if you have a steady light, why not?
