Steam Cleaning

Has anyone ever tried steam cleaning the bilges?
I wonder if it might work better than chemicals and be more environmentally sound.

Works very well for de-mossing window channels / seals.

Jizer, a mop, lots of rags and plenty of disposable gloves had my bilge left spotless (it was a bit manky when I bought it)... Also, I find a clean bilge is easy to keep clean. Only thing that dirties my bilge now is belt-dust (which is a curse)
