Steadfast 24

Anyone here own/owned a Steadfast 24 and what would you check if you went to view one.

I am not sure what headroom they have and just how reliable is the Saildrive, I have been told (rightly or wrongly) that
saildrives require regular servicing and the replacement seals are expensive ???

What are they like to sail offshore ??

I own a 1984 steadfast called Sassy, which I have owed for 10 years. I’m more than happy to chat about these boats! message me if you want more info.

The sail drive is fine and has many advantages. There is lots of info about this online as there are differing views on this from users and manufacturers.

I would want to know what you define as offshore before I comment on you seekeaping question. I have sailed Sassy along the south coast and felt very safe in a range of conditions, however I would not take her across the Atlantic!
