Staying afloat in Grenada during the Hurricane Season.

When did these events happen? I left Trini in January 2013 . The country then seemed prosperous and safe .The North coast has always had a question mark but then it tends to be rolly and not ideal for cruisers . Where ever one goes there is always the chance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time

I doubt the druggies would have used a bay with a fishing camp in it, they would use empty bays so no one sees them.

2005 and 2006, the skipper who made the mistake of thinking a bay on the Paria Peninsular was safe from memory 2008, we left the Caribbean in 2009.

Another problem was there were yacht boardings within 25nm of the coast of the Paria peninsular, so when heading to Venezuela and out islands/ABC's we kept 50nm off the coast. We often sailed in company and kept radio silence.

Kelly's Eye did one transat once, carped himself (blog : "they cal it the milk run - it isn't isn't") but chimes in on all transat threads. Likewise all carib threads, very dangerous place you know, full of foreigners, hence he's back in nice safe uk again, phew, but still sailing his keyboard in all weathers :-) Heyho.

Typical tcm misleading and offensive post, which is why he's on my ignore list. I've argued the Caribbean chain is safe, when some others think some islands are not, the only place that isn't safe is Venezuela. I have never said the carib is a dangerous place. Grow up, stop posting your pathetic lies and read my posts properly.
