Status 315 TV Dish

Father inlaw is looking at buying a TV dish for his boat. He has found a Status 315 TV dish at a caravan place - has anyone heard of this make and can you recommend anything?

status and glomex are the 2 main companies in the caravan aerial supply business. I would suggest that a query to the companies would reveal which one might be suitable for a salty atmosphere.

I have a Status Arial on my boat...digital ready version bought at weeley caravan centre...works great with normal TV and drives my on board digibox no problem! Previously had a big Glomex........no contest in my view

Ive had a couple of these omnidirectional type tv aerials with boosters and they were rubbish! Having experimented with a standard tv aerial on a short mast I have just ordered an antenna rotator unit for £50 (240v but I have an invertor) which will let me turn the antenna remotely from the saloon. Should be with me later this week and will let you know how I get on.

The kit has arrived today......If i have the nerve to fit it Legacy will look just the jobby as a surveillance communications base!
