Starter battery cable extension

Hello gents !

Planning to move my generator battery from port to stb and obviously need cable extensions for the starter battery .

Any good ideas for the connectors of the battery wiring ? Obviously something able to to take many amperes .

Have the extension cable made with crimped on lugs like the existing cable. Feed the existing cable round as far as it reaches, fit a terminal post, connect the new cable to the terminal post. Said terminal post must be insulated.

I have similar project as my two batterys have isolator switches way back in the underdeck lockers meaning on hands and knees to reach them. I am planning to relocate both battery cables to allow new isolator switches to be more accessible.

The above terminal junction that Paul shows is what I intend as well ... local car details shop has high current starter cables - look more like welding cables !! and will crimp the required lugs ...
