Solution in sight.
Take a standard Winkler switch.
Add a two leg coil spring on the end.
Add a brass disc on shaft with two roll pins near the outside edge.
Modify the cam.
Tune the spring tension empirically.
Prototype looks reasonable.
(For those who don't read the whole topic subject, diodes on the buffer relays solve the back emf problem).
