starlight 30 mast

Can't help but am curious. Who made the Starlight 30? I have one of the Stephen Jones designed Bowman built Starlight 35s and I am sure they never built a smaller sister.

I'm fairly sure that Sadler Yachts have never made a 30 foot yacht. Sadlers 25, 26, 27, 29, 32 and 34. Starlight 35 and 39. 27 is a rather odd one, very few around.

What age is the one you are interested in? Is it foam filled construction?

Full info here.

Starlight 30

Cant help with the height of the mast but can answer some of the other questions.
The boat was designed by M. Pocock in the 80's and built somewhere in the Channel Isles.
There were several in our club at one time (HYC) and they were, Sparkle, Starkers, Starchick and Starlight Special, I think there may have been one or two more but not sure.
There is one still at GCYC and there was another at Scarborough a couple of years ago.
Hope this helps.
Ted.

The Starlight 30's were built by Bluewater Yachts in Jersey in the late 70's.

I have a copy of a basic GA drawing by Mike Pocock, and scaling off it gives a mast height above the cabin top of approx 37'.

The specification gives the following sail measurements :

I : 38.7' (11.79 m)
J : 11.9' (3.63 m)
P : 33.5' (10.21 m)
E : 9.66' (2.94 m)

There is one here that was originally called 'Starlight Return' - she is in a not very happy condition now.
