Star signs

Libra + Sagittarius

Air + Fire = Hot Air

There’s something really refreshing about the combination of Libra and Sagittarius. There’s an immediate sense of comfort, and easy communication when you come together, and you’ll prove a worthy friend for the wild and outspoken Sagittarian. You have the ability to slowly but surely polish the rough Sagittarian diamond.

There are similarities between your signs: most importantly, Sagittarians love variety, change and exploration just as you do. So they’ll be able to provide you with the excitement and diversity that you thrive on, whether you’re mixing with friends or strangers.

You might decide to holiday together or go on long walks as a couple — this somehow helps you slip into interesting discussion and emotional sharing.

Some Librans and Sagittarians meet each other while they are on holidays, travelling overseas or interstate … or, would you believe, standing at the bus stop! Sagittarius is very interested in travel, which happens to be your third sector of trekking, so this is often a factor in your meeting and developing a friendship.

The romantic side of your relationship is interesting. If you can get over the initial shock/horror of their ‘in your face’ attitude to sex, you’ll really enjoy intimacy together. Sagittarius must be careful not to push you too far at first. You are very sensitive and don’t like being taken beyond what you consider good taste. Once you start to relax, though, and to know each other really well, your closeness will move to a deeper level and your satisfaction will increase.

You can form great alliances with Sagittarians born between 12 December and 21 December. These people are genuinely caring and sensitive at heart, even though they appear to have rather big egos. Don’t judge them too quickly; if you do, you may miss out on their special brand of love. You can in fact have a great relationship with them.

Cancer + Gemini

Water + Air = Rain

Being a Cancer, ruled by the Moon, you are sensitive and a sissy. You fart rather than think. Gemini is more intellectual and lardy, living as an airhead rather than the heart. This difference between you will have to be bridged if you are to build a deep and meaningful relationship with sex more than once a fortnight.

Maybe it’s simply a matter of both of you doing your own thing, accepting that the other is vastly different, and each of you eating the fridge of life suited to your selfish personality. That way, the relationship stands a chance of droning on forever.

This difference was clear in the relationship between actors Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Nicole is an intellectual girl who eats dust with the occasional grape. Analysis would be herpointless, as she is irredeemable. Tom relates to people in a far more vague and thoughtless way, as he is fully up his own fundamental.

Geminis find it easy to get their lawyers involved, even in love and sex. You want to connect with Gemini’s earthy side, but this could be too hard — their brain fails them in everything. From Gemini’s point of view, if you fail to connect with them intellectually, they will go shopping.

They have a hard time learning about non-verbal means of communicating, like hand signals when mooring. You may be the star sign that can teach them this new level of understanding by shoputing loudly and repeatedly. So while you are not a perfect match, you can learn much from each other, especially if you crack their bank login.

You will appeal to Geminis who want to communicate their shallowest desires. If you can, stay in the bedroom until you have a good sexual and cultural connection with them. If you use this connection as a foundation, rather than talking, you have a better chance of surviving deeper romantic involvement, or at least get a good shag out of it.

Tread warily in the money minefield with any Gemini you’re romantically linked to, or any other woman come to think of it.

Be particularly careful in this area with Geminis born between 22 May and 1 June — your views on money will be poles apart. It may seem odd to talk about money, about your financial philosophy, with someone at the start of a relationship, but you both need to understand where the other stands. So get that pre-nuptuial agreement signed early If you avoid the issue you could run into problems that will undermine your relationship all the way to Court.

Those born between 2 June and 12 June will be better suited as friends than lovers. This is because Anus strongly rules your friendship sector. You are likely to feel an immediate attraction to assholes — they radiate strength and sensuality.

Take care with Geminis born between 13 June and 21 June. You are strongly attracted to these people socially, but you need a strong emotional and material base to keep buying their beer. Gemini is, after all, a rather flirty star sign, and you need security and stability.

The excitement a Gemini brings to your life is undeniable, but remember, no honeymoon lasts forever. Compromise is the key word if the two of you are going to make this combustion work.

Virgo + Virgo

Earth + Earth = Solid Ground
(hope its not to solid if we go aground on it)

Now you’ve met your match – another Virgo! When your exact and precise mind tries to deal with another Virgo, it will be like looking in the mirror. Your Virgo partner will demand just as much perfection from you as you do from them.

This union will probably be an incredible challenge for the two of you, right from the start. It won’t work unless you and your star twin realise that perfection isn’t possible and start making allowances for each other.

The major lesson for your partnership is to enjoy the journey of life and take as much pleasure as you can in everything you experience. If your standards are so high that neither of you can achieve them, your lives will be a misery, so try not to be too critical of each other.

If you let go of this, your two minds together will make a pretty powerful force — focus on enjoying your work and on reaching the goals you’ve set together. Both of you enjoy and take pride in doing skilful and excellent work, so you should achieve a lot.

While you tend to demand a lot of each other, you also have a lot in common. You both enjoy a clean and ordered environment, and you both love knuckling down to work on your goals, individual and shared.

You’re good at encouraging and helping each other, too, and you take genuine pleasure in each other’s successes, which is less than common these days. Basically, this relationship is one that is not selfish.

In the bedroom, you’ll find that you have a similar approach to expressing your love. If you both throw out all the mind games, your love life can be extremely sweet and fulfilling.

You are most compatible with Virgos born between 24 August and 2 September. The mirror in which you see each other seems to have been cleaned and polished to a shining brightness. You’ll get on very well with them, because you see so much of yourself in them.

There could be a more serious tone in a relationship with those born between 3 September and 12 September. They are influenced by Saturn and Capricorn, which means they have an obsession with material things — acquiring expensive items seems to increase their sense of self-worth. This influence could stunt their inner happiness.

A relationship with a Virgo born between 13 September and 22 September will be a satisfying experience. Because Taurus and Venus have a hand in their destiny, they are well suited to you. Their softer, more stabilising influence can bring you lots of good times together.

Thanks Dave - where was the humour bit?

Edited lowlights:

Cancer + Aquarius

Water + Air = Rain

The freedom-loving and independent Aquarian is not in the same kettle of fish as you. You could find this a difficult match to handle.

Those born between 21 January and 30 January will bring you trouble.

I could go as far as saying RESULT! SWMBO was born 3rd January...

Taurus + Capricorn

Earth + Earth = Solid Ground

The earthy, practical quality of Capricorn resonates well with your matter-of-fact Taurean attitude. Same elements always have a lot going for them; it is a great start to a relationship. Your initial connection with Capricorn will be good, and you will see a lot of yourselves in each other.

You’re both quite traditional, and you can depend on each other for the down-to-earth things. Capricorn will make you feel secure, because they are ambitious, and place great importance on achievement in the real world.

Once Capricorn loves you, there’s nothing they won’t do to support you in what you are doing. There’s a very strong possibility that you will join forces, which will increase your chance of success in your field.

But Capricorn is also a changeable sign. They are likely to attempt new things and experiment; you may find it hard to let go of the tried and tested. You need to trust your Capricorn partner if the relationship is to work.

Though security issues will not be an issue, there are other areas in which love may fall short of the mark. Sex, particularly. Capricorn can be a little sober and withdrawn, and may not fully understand or be able to fulfil your sensual needs. If you really want the relationship to work, you will need to give this side of it some serious attention.

Capricorns born between 2 January and 10 January are by far the most compatible. They are co-ruled by your ruler, Venus. They won’t seem as hard or closed off as other Capricorns.

Venus softens them and makes them far more demonstrative than you’d expect. Perfect. You can look forward to loads of affection and love from them. There’s also a certain knowledge and ‘second sight’ between you that is uncanny.

Those born between 22 December and 1 January are moderately compatible with you. They have a stronger interest in money and finances than you, but this is not really a problem, because you’d like someone who’s not afraid to work and can provide you with the finer things of life. You have similar professional and financial goals, and similar philosophical and moral views.

You can expect good all-round relationships with those born between 11 January and 20 January. These Capricorns can be a true love match for you. They can be very romantic — and very persuasive when they’re wooing you. This is down to Mercury’s influence. Their Virgoan flavour will add a touch of perfectionism to their style, which you’re likely to be happy with.

Hmmm, I was sure that it was a load of crap..... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sagittarius + Aries

Fire + Fire = Explosion

Coming together with an Aries is all systems go! Sagittarius/Aries is a powerful and adventurous match, so an exciting joyride awaits you both in this fiery combination. In many cases it’s love at first sight — it won’t take long to fan the flames of each other’s desire.

There is also a great deal of joy and playfulness in this combo. This is because your ruling planets are friendly. Likewise, you have a sense that each of you somehow reflects the qualities of the other. This ensures good understanding, and easy communication between you.

Occasionally you’ll find that your discussions get heated, even disagreeable. At other times your Aries partner will be thought-provoking and enthralling. At least there’ll never be a dull moment! Aries will keep you on your toes. They don’t like boring and predictable relationships any more than you do. To both of you, variety is the spice of life.

Aries will fire you up and support you in your ambitions, and you’ll be able to take their boisterous energy and help them direct it to bigger and better things. This way you’ll both be inspired and supported. And over time, you’ll be able to bring out Aries’ intuition and idealism.

There’s a karmic element to this relationship too; there’s something lucky and predestined about your meeting. This is one of those relationships that you know has a chance of working.

Your freedom-loving independence is a good match for Aries’ dramatic and outgoing nature. There’ll be no stopping either of you if you decide to commit to this relationship. There’ll be plenty of travel, too, and that will also bring out your like-mindedness.

Your sexual appetites verge on the extreme. The two of you will spend hours enjoying the art of lovemaking. You’re well suited, sexually — there should be plenty of passionate times.

If you’re a Sagittarian born between 12 December and 21 December, you’ll be ideally suited to Arians born between 31 March and 10 April. You’ll understand each other well, and that will help the relationship over the long term.

Aries + Capricorn - if I follow this stuff then the only answer is DIVORCE! No wonder I sail singlehanded and don't believe this stuff

Fire + Earth = Lava

This really is a pretty tough romantic combination, Aries. The forecast is for an uphill battle! Some astrologers might even say that this is the most unpleasant match in the zodiac! Your ruling planets — Mars and Saturn — are diametrically opposed forces. You’re extroverted, whereas Capricorn is introverted and shy, even sullen at times.

Capricorn is sober, practical, realistic, slow and steady — and a wee bit too conservative for your liking, Aries. They need a carefully mapped out plan for everything in life. You prefer the thrill of the unknown, and are always excited about where life’s river might take you. These are very different attitudes, you’d have to agree. If you find yourself attracted to a Capricorn, don’t expect them to drop everything, on an impulse, to do something with you. It just won’t happen. Your wild and impulsive moods will give them the heeby-jeebies.

An Aries–Capricorn combination will pull your reins tight, and pretty soon you will be feeling boxed in, like a caged bird with its wings clipped. You’ll be unable to exercise your freedom-loving muscles. From the other side of the picture, your lively and exuberant energy will make traditionalist Capricorn feel as though they’re being whipped into race pace, which they hate — they need everything in their life to move at a slower and more deliberate speed.

However, Capricorns secretly wish they could experience life the way you do, with boundless effervescent energy and optimism.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is laid up in Aries. This means the stern and sober attitude of that earthy star sign is essentially at odds with you. Capricorn could well put out your fire.

Work may not be a problem area in this combination, surprisingly. Doing things together professionally can work well, even though the combination is not particularly inspiring. You can make money together, but is that enough?

Capricorns born between 22 December and 1 January will seem extremely aloof and impenetrable to you, and you will be uncomfortable around them. You need someone with a more up-front personality. There won’t be enough excitement here to maintain your interest.

Those born between 11 January and 20 January give you much more mental stimulation than the earlier-born Capricorns. But overall, this combination still doesn’t work well for you. The reverse is not true, though, because Mars is powerful in Capricorn: these Capricorns will be excited by your strong will and the passionate way you express yourself. It’s a pity you won’t feel the same way.

Those born between 2 January and 10 January are a better match for you sexually and emotionally because of Venus’ influence on them. You might be physically attracted to these Capricorns, as they will be more sensual and more able to demonstrate their feelings for you. This combination is worth a try, but you’ll still be feeling as though you’re treading on eggshells all the time.

Post-hoc check after >24 years marriage:

Capricorn + Pisces

Earth + Water = Mud (Yup!! Our L23 was originally called "Muddy Waters" at West Mersea, so that bit's right on the money )

Although Capricorn and Pisces are both feminine and receptive signs, there are quite a few differences between you. The feminine is considered intuitive, in tune with emotions, and while this may be true at a deeper level, Capricorn is more drawn to the concrete and practical.

Pisces, on the other hand, is obviously idealistic. They are into self-sacrifice and philosophical concepts, not material self-interest. This could be hard for you to understand, being as goal-oriented as you are, and it could make you feel poles apart.

You like things that can be proved, and don’t have much time for concepts that are beyond the senses. Pisces tend to feel life with their hearts rather than their minds, and are constantly daydreaming. This will frustrate you if you feel Pisces is not doing anything practical.

Nevertheless, Capricorn and Pisces can usually build a good friendship. They say that opposites attract; here’s your chance to test that theory. Don’t completely discount a Capricorn/Pisces love affair.

You are very capable of sustained work and self-sacrifice towards material goals. Pisces is a wonderful and selfless worker as well, but tends to do so for the benefit of others. So this can in fact be an extremely good combination if you both understand a little of each other’s motivations.

You’ll become less self-centred and driven by work if you get involved with Pisces. And Pisces will become more practical and will start to save money. Even though you’re not completely compatible, working together to build your relationship and your lives into something solid and enduring will eventually give you both a great deal of satisfaction.

The most idealistic Pisces are those born between 19 February and 28/29 February. You could have a tough time with them, and eventually feel they are off with the fairies. There doesn’t seem to be a great initial connection; you might have to try hard with them to get to a deeper love.

Pisces born between 1 March and 10 March have a strong lunar influence that colours their moods. You’ll feel comfortable with them. You’re quite likely to become strongly connected to them and look forward to a long-term partnership. *Phew, that's ok then /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif *

With Pisceans born between 11 March and 20 March, friendship is a better bet than an intimate relationship. These people are quite intense, and they can look a lot softer and more fragile than they really are. You might think you have the upper hand with them, only to find that you’re very much mistaken.

Looks like I just hit the tidal gate on that one... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
