I found these to be the best type of stanley knife. Easy blade change and a thick pemanent blade for heavy use.

When I was on the coasters I bought a knief like the skippers,all steel,folding blade with a lock with a blade that must have been4/5 inches,good for cutting through ships ropes or peeling an apple……never seen one since
