Standing rigging Hunter Medina?

What's it likely to cost me to replace the standing rigging on my 20' Hunter Medina? Actually attaching it isn't a problem, the mast is laying down by the side of the boat at present. But what is the damage likely to be in components? Forestay, backstay, cap shrouds and lower shrouds. The shrouds terminate in swageless eyes at the lower end and what I think are called T-balls at the mast end.
For anyone not familiar with the Medina it's a 20' with a deck-stepped fractional rig (Proctor mast) and single, swept, spreaders.

You can get a ballpark cost by measuring the stays and looking on the Jimmy Green website for prices. Not necessarily the cheapest and you might find a rigger who will make them up for you at a lower price.

An approx cost if you did not replace the rigging screws is £200.00, if you add good quality rigging screws another £100.00.
The Hunter Medina has 4mm wires, Forestay, 2 x Caps, 2 x Lowers and a Backstay possibly split at the bottom.

Google the ebay shop of Grimsby Rigging, they will give you a good quote where you send them your old rigging and they return both old and new.

You will find that the specialised fittings amount to much of the cost.
IMHO it is the side stays that are most critical. Backstay on a fractional is probably terminated in a tackle so not much load there and not critical to mast integrity. Forestay again may be backed up by jib and halyard. Bottle screws no worries. But those side stays, both cap and intermediate. One lets go you have lost the mast. Do replace them if they aree over 10yo. good luck olewill

I had my Dehler 22 done 4 years ago by Kildale in Hull. All in 4mm. There are 4 lower shrouds to aid mast raising, so 6 shrouds with toggled bottlesrews in all. Also included toggles top and bottom for forestay as advised by rigger. Had t-terminals for 6 shrouds and forestay.
The Dehler is a similar weight to a Medina.
Total cost for quality fittings was about 350 pounds.

Thanks to all for the advice and recommendations. As I'm not certain about the age of the standing rigging, I think I'll go ahead and do it.

Does anyone have any views on the turnbuckles from S3i? These are the same length as my existing screws but smaller in diameter http://www.s3i.co.uk/turnbuckleClosedToggleFork.php
Bear in mind my boat spends the majority of it's time on dry land or in a freshwater lake. I plan to visit the Orwell occasionally this year but there won't be many sea trips.

My only comment would be to recommend "open" rather than "closed" type - always nice to be able to see how much thread you have engaged...
