Good day
I have a Standard Horizon CP 300 plotter and I have messed it up! I inadvertently put in a card marked CP180E upgrade which was from my previous smaller Standard Horizon plotter...complete idiot not looking what it said.Anyway the plotter now only shows a white screen on fire up.Tried the handbook reset by firing up with key pressed but no good.Anyone know how to fix? Where to get fixed? Have an upgrade card for CP 300 for loan? Or what todo?
Cheers
many thanks
Rich

Can't help with the problem itself - but the service dept at Yaesu UK (SH) is very friendly & helpful if no-one can help here.

There's a standard charge of £32 per unit. I had problems with a SH Handheld (software was confused requiring a reset) and a 300i which wouldn't start up which was bench tested (ended up being an obscure fault at my end ).

The final bill was £32 inc vat for the 2 items + carriage (£15). Of course you have to get the unit to them in the 1st place.

Give SH a ring. I have found them helpful in the past. I know they are withdrawing from the stand alone CP market but I am sure they will advise you.

+1

Bought a CP300i secondhand but still in warranty. Had a screen problem, returned to SH and they replaced it with a brand new unit.

I once did the same thing, I got the upgrade card for a CP500, and used it on the CP300 also not realising they would have entirely different software. STH sent me the correct one and I applied that and sorted the problem.
