I have to say a huge thankyou to SH (Yaesu) support. And wished I had read an earlier post on dodgy power cables.
We investigated a VHF failure numerous times, trying all things, other cables , emergency ariel etc. Checked power was going through, right reading etc. no joy
Sent it off expecting a £30 bill and be told buy a new one. It was sent back , tested, with a new power cable plus a 7 amp fuse ( we only had a 5 in) , all fine, FOC including postage.

SH and ICOM both seem good. I've had good experience with ICOM in the past.
