Using this stuff to cover some damp stains on plaster, I notice it claims to like GRP and to cover rust or tar stains. There are other products similar.

That's them, thanks. Etched in my memory is trying to cover over the coaltar which was daubed all over boats in my youth, nothing ever worked, I doubt this would......
