stains!

acid has arrived today but i am on 12hr shifts so no day light to try it out this week! grrrr.
i am thinking of using corn flour and water as a paste to stick it to upright bits rather than wallpaper paste--mainly because i dont have any!
any thoughts
LOL--cant wait

As Oxalic acid bleaches it is safe on white gelcoat only.
Once dilluted it's thin like water. Stains simply wash off, so no need for making paste.

Always make a test before using on coloured gelcoat.

BTW: Oxalic acid can be found in it's natural form in rhubarbs
Root and leaves contain dangerously high concentrations

Here's a video of an American testing soap, bleach and oxal acid, in turn.

Grab a coffee before starting - it's long[ish]

thanks,great video.
i spent hours with hot soapy water and a scourer to get mine to the pretty good stage its at now, i just wish i knew about this stuff a couple of weeks ago when it was proper dirty.
still, if it works on the stain i have then i will be happy.
ill try it on the shadow stain left by the old vinyl decals too.
