I think you're right about wave power, that would be my guess. Stromness is great, excellent fish, suppers, fantastic butcher's shop, and the cheapest calor gas in Scotland at the garage just along the road. If you have time do not miss a visit to Ian Richardson, builder of Yoles and other lovely boats, at the head of the voe by the new school.
