I'm looking for an online shop that will do some nice marine quality stainless steel adhesive letters for the boat's name on the hull. Does anyone have a recommendation?

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this, because I have really been struggling to find a supplier for s/s lettering. Google throws up a company called Smart Group in Fordingbridge - and what an amateur shower they have turned out to be, despite three emails and two phone calls over a five week period, they still have failed to give me a price. Avoid.

I've also tried a couple of other firms, Trade Signs in Tring, and DJN Signs in Leics, and again trying to get them to show any interest in selling you something is like trying to get blood out of a stone, and so it would be hard to recommend either of these firms either.

Cheers
Jimmy

Magnum (of this parish) had some beautiful ones made up. No idea of any contacts though. Perhaps someone on the Med circuit knows ?

In my opinion stainless letters create extra cleaning.
The stainless letters look beautiful but under the stainless letters you frequently find matt cream gel coat (start of rust stains) that need constant polishing and regular y10 cream.
The back of the stainless letters do not get air to them which is required to maintain the stainless qualities.
The rust on the back of the letters then seeps out.

I got a b@llocking from Greens a while ago for answering this thread once before as they quoted me £1,800.

I was told to cut letters you have to provide cad drawings and then they can be cut.

What I did was to contact a local stainless place and asked them, they had a limited range txt wise but could do it easily, in the end I had just what I wanted done and it cost around £500.

there are a few places on the south coast you can get them done I am happy to give you the name if you want one, but go and see someone local to you that does stainless work it will be far cheaper
