I think that in accusing "so many" (if not all) of those who don't use your chosen solution as having "given up", you are being a bit over defensive. Maybe they got the system set up as well as it could be and just didn't like it.

I don't see how that is "defensive" in that context. Perhaps my understanding of your language is not as good as I thought after all...
