Hi
I’ve looked back at many of the discussions about the ST60 plus masthead transducers including the great research done by Nigel Mercer all those years ago. He’s a contributor sorely missed.
I have been getting direction info at the instrument all fine and dandy. But no wind speed. Wind speed data is transmitted on the yellow data wire and according to raymarine should show between 0 & 5 volts.
I checked mine and I’m getting full supply voltage of 8v.
raymarine tech support suggest that this means it’s a fault in the cable but I have connected the masthead unit directly to the instrument and the same happens so it’s not mast cable or connections inside he boat. I have removed the cable in the MHU and checked the five wires for continuity (fine) and any shorts (also fine).
I think that only leaves me with the PCB as a possible culprit. But before I commit to replacement plus the hassle of shipping out to the pacific I wondered whether I’m missing anything. I have asked locally about getting the PCB checked but haven’t been able to find anyone to do this and it’s well beyond my understanding.
am I missing something?
Any recommendations for source of replacement PCB
thanks all
Dave
