Anyone know how to get this data to display on the Raymarine ST60 Multi. Mag wind displays OK.

Got GPS connected. There is no detail in the manual. Do I need to have true heading instead of magnetic.

On mine, press chapter button (1st from left) until Wind shows, then page button (2nd from left) until Bft shows. You may need to enable the pages in Calibration.

Got a compass but working through autopilot. GPS also working but I don't think it uses this data as it would be meaningless when stationary. I'll try setting heading to true.

Have you got a compass on the Seatalk? If absent, the cardinal data might use boat COG instead of HDG. Hence need for GPS.
Just a guess;- as said, nothing in the instructions.

Yes, there is a compass connected. The Multi seems to have a mind of its own. I must have the female version.

On my vessel everything but the cardinal display works as others have discussed. Switching on my Raymarine autopilot brings the cardinal display to life.

Tried changing MAG to TRUE plus lots of combinations of compass, multi, wind and autopilot settings. The multi software is version 3. I see the latest revision was 9.3. Wind instrument displays BFT ok with a press of the left button. Wind angle is working but BFT cardinal page still blank. Pity the manual does not say what data is needed for this display.

Have you looked in the Calibration section (ch 4). Individual pages in any chapter can be turned on/off. May be it is off.

The page is turned on its just the data which is missing. Not sure if the BFT wind speed and cardinal points are calculated values or exist as seatalk data.

For some reason, mine only displays these when connected to the GPS.

Could you tell me what version software your ST60 multi is. Still trying to fix the problem. MAG wind seems to have disappeared now so this may be related in some way. Does anyone else have an ST60 multi which displays mag wind OK

By ST60 Multi, do you mean the Graphic? Earlier you mention software V3. That sounds earlyish to me. I bought my graphic in 2004, soon after they were introduced AFAIK, to use mainly as a GPS repeater. The GPS chapter was full of bugs, so much so, I wondered if Raymarine had actually ever tested it on a boat. After 2 or 3 prolonged returns for updates, it was eventually in reasonable functional condition by 2008, although there are still issues with the Seatalk to NMEA conversion.
Away from the boat so I can't be sure, but I think that mine is at least V6, so I wouldn't be surprised if your problem lies there.
To be fair RM did updates FOC, and sold me a NMEA converter at a very good price for my troubles.
Edit:- Graphic seems to be later version of Multi, with a pixel display and extended menu, so not exactly comparable.

Hi

My Multi came with the boat in 2000 and a second Multi was replaced with a Graphic repeater a couple of years later, the rest of the system consists of sounder, log, wind, autopilot and radar/plotter. None of them have been updated, other than the radar/plotter which was replaced. Apart from the quirk of not showing Beaufort wind without GPS, they have all worked faultlessly, so far.
