ST50\'s and ST60\'s on the same network?

Is it okay to mix ST50's and ST60's on the same Seatalk network? Wind has died but I don't want to replace depth, speed etc as well for no reason!

Should be no problem but worth confirming with Raymarine before parting with cash (they're always helpfull).

I had a lot of trouble mixing st30 and st60 multi. Although Autohelm (or whatever they are called now) were very helpful, it took a lot of messing about and the construction of a custom interface to get it work.

So I suggest you get their advice first, then if it doesn't work you are entitled to ask them to sort it out.

Our ST60 Tridata wouldn't talk properly to the ST50 wind - so it wouldn't calculate "true wind" ... but then we got hit by lightning so they were both replaced!

Have ST50 wind and ST60 tridata (using the original ST50 speed & depth transducers). Seems to work fine including calculating true wind. Only issue is the wind system under reads by 30% but it did that before I changed the separate ST50 head units for the ST60 tridata so can't really blame the ST60 for it.

I have got a mix of ST50 & ST60 including ST60 multi repeater - no problems at all. The data and colour coding on the Seatalk bus cable is the same, you just need to make a data cable adapter. Easiest thing to go from ST50 to ST60 is to cut the ST50 plug off one end, strip the three wires back and crimp three very small spade terminals on (get them from Halfords)
