How do you guys store yours? Any good suggestions for putting the rams somewhere?

Why do you want to store them. We just use ours and it seems to work tirelessly.

Almost same... mine lives in the boot of the car when not on the boat, and in a clip on the pushpit when not in use at sea.

I made a wooden case to store my old Autohelm when not in use

To temporarily "park" it I made a rest with a wire clip for the ram when disconnected from the tiller.

Being the old AH with built in compass the ram retracts as I swing it to the parked position. I switch it off when the ram is fully retracted and clip it into the rest.

Having seen other AH's suffer electronics failure by being put in storage bag ... I keep mine out of box / bag ... to let it 'breathe' !

My port 1/4 under cockpit berth is my general storage ... and the two AH's I have .. 800 and 1000 are laid there.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, this was a pleasing find.. Plastic uPVC pipe clip.. 20mm size...

Leant against the dodgers when not in use, in a cockpit locker when not sailing (6 years without issue)

The only thing I would add is that I fully retract the ram before disconnecting it, and spray the ram with a silicone spray.
