ST1000+ stears to true wind ? why not apparent ?

as far as i can tell mine stears to true. i'd rather that it streared to apparent.
is there a way to change this in the setup ? not in the manual.

it takes info from the nmea data, i don't suppose there is a 'box' to flip the true and apparent wind to the ST1000+ ?

Have you looked in the manual? Mine says my Raymarine tillerpilot steers to the apparent wind. There is no choice.

i agree the raymarine steers to apparent wind. but if there is a problem with your log or the connection between your wind meter and your log i assume the pilot will steer to true wind since there will be no difference according to the wind meter

correction when the log is not functioning the wind meter will always point to apparent wind but will assume that this is also true wind since boat speed will be zero.
