From the St Vaast website:

Sep 22. Opens 0336 closes 0745. Opens 1604 closes 2036.
Sep 23. Opens 0458 closes 0942. Opens 1716 closes 2216.
Sep 24. Opens 0555 closes 1103. Opens 1803 closes 2326.

All times are French local: UTC +2, BST +1.

Looks much more convenient than it has for the last few years - perhaps we'll actually make it into St Vaast this time

Certainly a passage plan to arrive at St Vaast 17:00-18:00 gives a good margin for delays without missing the locks
 
Been a while since I have been in St Vaast, and new boat. All my reference docs are 1500miles away (ish)

Anyone know if a small cat 39ft x 23ft will fit?

No problem at all, either on a hammer head or more likely the alongside pontoon near the entrance.

Your big benefit is the ability to dry out outside the lock in a sheltered space if you arrive when the gates are closed !

Yes, and just to the SW of the harbour they place stacks of small rocks in heavy sacks for Cats to rest on, save you getting in the mud.;)
