St David\'s Hotel - Cardiff
Nice Rocco Forte 5* hotel overlooking Cardiff Bay. Reasonable room rates if you book last minute (we paid £135 for a Sat night). Bit "Footballers Wives" but often they're the real thing. Good for Celeb spotting (we saw some of the Arsenal team and comedian Alan Davies). Expensive bar, £15 for three drinks. [Tip: If you're a tightwad like me then take your own Champers so you can enjoy a nice glass on your balcony overlooking the bay.] Fab swimming pool where you can sit in the Jacuzzi and watch the power boats thrashing around the bay and the sailing boats pottering about. Five minute walk to lively pubs and restaurants.
