ST 60 Wind problem

I have an ST60 wind system. The wind speed is not giving a readout ( just shows -------) The direction is working but I suspect the accuracy. Anyone know how I can test if its the masthead unit or the display that is the problem? What experience is there out there of similar problems?

Check the cups are not stuck. Could be electrical.

Failure to display speed and/or direction can be caused by corrosion in one or more of the four individual connectors where the wand joins the mast head fitting. I cleaned mine, applied conductive grease to each, tightened the fitting as normal then wrapped well with Nitto brand self amalgamating tape for extra water proof seal. No fun going up mast more often than neccessary. Good luck
