Good Afternoon all. I have a Motor Boat that I usually use in the South of Portugal The Boat is registered in the UK Boat Register with a SSR number.
Does anyone know it leaving the EU will have any impact on taking boats abroad for holidays?
Thanks!

The SSR means very little (unlike a part1) so no issue as far as the EU is concerned. For your holidays I would make sure you have a dated photo of your boat leaving the UK and returning. There is a return goods arrangement but I can’t see anyone insist on that for what is a clear holiday arrangement.........Surely?

Your question isn't very precise.

Is the boat in the UK now?
Was it in the UK on the 31st December 2020?

If so, I am assuming that you tow it on holiday with you.
If so, it is my understanding that you can take it on holiday with you.
You would, effectively, be using the EU TA arrangement which would allow you to keep it in the EU for a maximum of 18 months.
If you then brought it back within the 18 months, you could take it with you again as many times as you like as long as it doesn't stay there for more than 18 months at a time.

This is all dependant on YOU being a non-EU resident (i.e. a UK resident).

However if the boat was in the EU on the 31st December 2020, things get a little more complicated and RGR (Returned Goods Rules) may be important.

Does that help?
