If you mean vinyl lettering, as on vans etc, Google 'signwriters'. Heaps of them.

I used these for SSR and horseshoe flotation device, both have lasted years and still look fine. Also had some stencils made to mark dinghy/outboard etc. Good service and value for money.

Ta, you're right, loads of 'em, wasn't sure what to search for.
As for funky monkey, I did come across them before but not having an address makes mail order a bit tricky

Almost certainly a sign making company in Plymouth that has the template to make them. I had mine made in Poole by Elite Signs while I waited. Just google sign makers Plymouth, couple of phone calls to check and you are there.

Yes. Had excellent service from a guy I'll need to rummage to find the card for but if you ask the guys at fast tack in QAB they'll be able to point you at him.

He made me a boat name and supplied vinyl for a stripe down the side of the boat . Hand delivered to QAB and (completely off topic) gave me lots of excellent advice on windows. A nice bloke that I would thoroughly recommend.

I think the address GHA lacks is one of his own, not Funky Monkey's. Doesn't matter how well their web site works if they've nowhere to send it.

Rule is to be UK resident. And in this case the postal address is a very long way from the boat so no better off.

Absolutely not.
The requirement is that you be "ordinarily resident" in the UK. No mention of an address, although not having one might give you a few bureaucratic headaches.
