Hi

I would be interesting in this set up. Vodaphone UK will charge me £10.25/meg on a UK based mobile phone. Have not tried it yet.

My thoughts are to get an Country sim card where ever I am travelling to.

There is hardly any point in installing SSB for the Med - no worthwhile nets - no 'informed' weather nets etc. There are much better ways of keeping in touch than sail mail - also for some reason the cruising life style is different from the Caribbean and Pacific and Indian oceans where SSB is almost essential if you want to keep in touch....
