The wife has been on at me for some time now to try and solve this particular problem, the boars are noisy when you walk over them, we do have carpet. Does anyone have a cure.

Had that trouble on our boat. Tried all sorts but the only thing to work was to smear grease (ordinary motor grease) on the bearing/joining faces. Only trouble is it is a bit messy when you need to get to that part of the bilge. But for me the benefits far outweighed the trouble.

acorns ? No, at least a .233, 55 grain.

the only cure is to take up the carpet, and either screw down the offending squeakers, or get a bar of real, pure, soap, and rub it where the boards pinch. Dry.

Cuchilo will have a better plan, I bet.

Yep night piddlers can create too much racket! Solved this with round velcro pads self-adhesive several per board, very effective in silencing my nocturnal endeavours of the micturating kind!

We found that the boards start to squeak when the boat gets damp.............Though I see you are in Turkey and guess maybe that's not your problem? Our solution is to air everything out and a couple of days with a dehumidifer!

Good afternoon:

I solved my problem with squeaking floor boards some time ago by running a strip of blue masking tape along the lip on which the board rested however the problem returned recently. I put off replacing the strip of tape until today however, even after replacing the tape, the board continued to squeak when stepped on.

After a bit of investigation I discovered that the squeak was caused by the two boards rubbing together and solved the problem by inserting a flat bladed screwdriver between the board and levering them apart so they no longer touched.

Lucky is he who does not have squeaking floor boards.

Cheers
