Square rigger in Maldon

I was told it was bought by the guy from TS Riggting out of the money he made on doing the Cutty Sark. Can't vouch for the accuracy of that info though.

Here's a piccy or two before she made it to the Fullbridge.

TS rigging were on the Ray Clarke Breakfast Show on BBC Essex earlier this week talking about the Cutty Sark and he said that he had bought the brig for training purposes. I think he meant working on the rig rather than sail training. She has moved from Heybridge and is up at the Fullbridge at the moment.

Something...

... about square riggers. I was heading back to Maldon last weekend and passed her coming downriver. We had to move well over to give her room opposite Promenade Park. Not a very pretty boat up close, but I can't talk, Alex is, in my opinion, even uglier then Dylans Slug.

As a dutchman, even I am struggling to pronounce that boat name.

Usually a name like this would originate from North East of the Netherlands which, believe it or not for such a small country, has its own language.

Nice boat though.
