Anybody want a third share in a S59 to charter either here or in the Med?
What is the "charter sector" like here?
How do these things work out?
What is a Squadron 59 with TAMD 122p's like? Are they the predecessor of the modern D12?
Is £300,000 a good buy? £100,000 each??

P.s This is a wild, wacky, crazy, loony idea and as such I expect wild, wacky, crazy, loony answers!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I know these older engines are good ones. Is 300k normal for a big boat like this? or is it knackered? Expensive or what?

Tynes shurely, perhaps 50,000 bhp might be a tad too much grunt?
Besides, 5000bhp out of something that small is pretty groovy and more than enough for a 60 footer.

cheers,
david

You get the back bit, Andy. No-one's going to trust you with the middle, cos that's where the loud sticks are, and the front has teh bow thruster...

Well A Squadron 59 is a Boat,

It generally floats on water.

It has 2 engines in it [most of the time] that have long poles that stick out the back of them that go though a hole at the back of the boat [if not there it mite sink] [that not a good thing]

They have blade things on the end of them that go round and round sometimes very fast that make the boat move though the water.

It has an up stairs and a down stairs, [but no stair carpet to worry about].

It normally has 2 driving positions so one for him and one for her. [Only one works at a time]

Shall I go on!!!!!!! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

"What is a Squadron 59 with TAMD 122p's like?"

I get top speed 31 knots - cruise all day at 27/28 knots. A very good performer.

"Is £300,000 a good buy? £100,000 each??" Its an incredibly low price!!!!

Cheers
Paul
