Hi all

I have just bought a spring kit for the pawl retainer....
its consists of 4 springs...i know where these 2 go.but the two smaller one i`m not sure.....
on my leg they are missing and i`m not sure if they go through each other or where they go on the pawl, seen the diagrams but not seen where the 2 smaller springs go.

I had these apart last year can can only recall two springs that were maybe 25 to 50mm long that hooked over a couple of rods and two little springs that were maybe 10mm in diameter and fitted on to two side bolts, a bit like washers.
This will mean nothing to anyone who has never taken the mechanism apart!!

Reverse Latch Photos

Hi,
Not sure if this helps as I am currently cleaning a single prop 290 SP-A and have disassembled the reverse latch to remove years of old antifouling. Couple of photographs showing 4 springs. 1of them is hard to see but it’s a circular spring behind the allen head bolt / spindle.
Decision now is now to decide to try PropShield on the latch this year!

The one under the allen head bolt can be challenging to fit.

The center one on the spindle needs to be threaded onto spindle before putting side pieces on, then hooked onto center unit.

Propshield is the way to go.
