I'm looking for somewhere I can source a supplier of spring struts ~ you know the type of spring used to support chart table lids and the like.
(The type that spring into a 'locked' position on lifting, and to close the lid the spring is just 'bent' by hand.)

I have typed every kind of description into Google but only get 'gas struts' or ' hydraulic struts' as a result -- which, for me is a non-result !

I know they are available out there somewhere but in my inability to find them, can someone come to my aid and suggest a supplier or suppliers?
( . . . and could someone also please tell me what these "things" are officially called? !!! )

Thanks.

ECS sell them. Can't remember what they're called though even though I bought one!

Ah yes ....lid support spring, try Amazon.
