Spray Hood trim

i have leather trim /protection on the aft end of the spray hood. i have cleaned the hood & light beige leather. this leather is showing signs of cracking so any suggestions as to leather treatment pls gratefully accepted

hand cream is not bad. Nivea, for example.

But you could also try wax, of the sort you put on shoes, for example

Most sprayhoods fitted with a contrasting edge binding are trimmed with a leather look vynil around the edge.This rots with uv,.Sailmakers leather: a pale grey colour is pretty durable but will dry out and tear in time.the trick is to tell if its synthetic.Burn a bit if it melts its synthetic if it chars its the real mycoy.If its cracked up no amount of treatment will restore it.
Re trimming in leather along the after hoop casing would be in the region of £90 quid,retrimming in a synthetic would be about £60 both plus VAT.Still cheaper than a new hood.
