Evening all,

I have just bought one and am very impressed, but would like to have a chat with somebody who has one regarding tracking and contacts etc.

Have set it up for basic use but want to make list of message recipients - the web site may cover it but I must be missing something.

thanks for all replies

Hi David, I also bought a SPOT tracker last week and found it difficult to understand how to notify more than a single recipient so I'm unable to answer your question and look forward to reading your replies.

My solution was to create a new Hotmail account and use this to receive the SPOT position emails. I've provided the email address and password to my crew who have circulated the details to their families and friends so they can open the dedicated email account and access the SPOT emails with the link to the latest position on Google Earth.

But I'm sure there must be an easier way!

Cheers, Brian.

When you go to 'My Account' on the SPOT Tracker website, you are able to set up multiple email address recipients for both the standard message and the Help message as well as tell them who to notify with a 911 message. I admit the website is not very intuitive but if you stick with it you can achieve everything you want.

I've been using a SPOT Tracker for 5 years now and have changed email recipients a number of times and each time it does take me a little while to understand how to do it.
