You've got flags upside down, back to front etc. obviously you bent on on deck without cosnidering the set of the halyard once hoisted ..... apart from that ??????

Unless of course you wanted to put "England expects every man etc."

Re: U cant spel

There's also the dreadful lack of proper spacing. Forward of the mast, up top. a bleedin big hole on the line with no flag thingies, and what looks like a flag thingie stuck on top of mast all screwed up.

And the winner is JIMI - check in your Reeds book and you will see that no "I" flag should be flown

If you're in a French marina then you should have more fenders at toe rail height!

Check again. I think that there's a misprint in Reed's. I've got the Macmillans Yachtsman's Handbook (1984 and 1988 editions) and the Reed's Nautical Companion (1993 edition). Both the Macmillan books specify a sequence which goes .... P, p1, I, Code, T ..... (the p1 refers to numerical pendant 1). The Reed's specifies it as .... P, p1, 1, Code, T ..... In Reed's, as in Macmillan's, numbers are prefixed with p. So I would suggest that the Reed's 1 before the Code pendant is a misprint for I, and that the mistake is that you are missing the I (well, I can only see two flags between T and P, and there should be three).

It's not the only misprint in that Reed's edition; there's one in the section dealing with Colregs too. Now that could be really dangerous.....!

Correction

My apologies. The other error was in Macmillan's; Reed's got it right. Anyone who tries to use Rule 35(h)(ii) in Macmillan's will find it expressed as Rule 35(j) in Reed's. My memory let me down. Early onset of senile dementia?
