I need to check the user manual of my genset, but a) I never bothered looking for it online before, and b) I have the paper copy onboard, and the boat is a bit too far ayt the moment.
Trouble is, Onan website doesn't allow a search based on the model year/size, and requires the model code instead (MDDxx, MDKxx, whatever).
Bottom line, can anyone suggest what could be the model code of a 6.5kw, 1995/6 vintage, with the 3 cyl Kubota engine?
I don't have any decent pic I'm afraid, hope the one below can give a clue.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks LS, useful stuff.
Unfortunately, on Cummins/Onan website the MDKAL is not mentioned anymore among the models for which the operator manual can be downloaded, but I found the MDKBL manual, whose basic numbers (size, # of cylinders) seems consistent with my genset.
Do you have an idea of what relevant differences there are - if any - between AL and BL?
Many thanks anyway!

That is a 6.5 MDKD, you can tell by the sound enclosure.

If you PM me I will send you a operators manual.

What is it you need to know?

Regards Anthony

Thanks for your hint.
I had a look around for MDKD, and found the service manual at this link:
http://www.cumminsonan.com/www/pdf/manuals/981-0502.pdf
Based on the few drawings contained in it, it doesn't look like mine, though...
Anyway, I would be grateful if you could forward me the operator manual (which I didn't find).
My mailbox is my user name, followed by "@yahoo.com".

Re.what I was looking for, not just a single thing really, rather the service schedule and operations involved.
Always left that to my mechanic so far, but I'd like to cross check.

That is the correct service manual, but it also covers the industrial radiator cooled version (DKD) of your marine (MDKD). As well as the small DKC and MDKC.

I will send you the operators and parts manual on Monday when I get back to the office.

Anthony
