Spot the forum boat

@Deleted User, we haven't had one issue with security, and the marina is very helpfull !
Delighted to hear that Bart! I still think that for my own peace of mind I made the right decision to park my boat in Capitana and then Carloforte but Cagliari sure would have been a more convenient place in terms of getting there. Having said that and correct me if I'm wrong but I think you have to cruise quite a distance from Cagliari to find some nice bays to anchor in? It might take forever to get to CF but at least you can drop your hook in a nice bay just around the corner:D

actually there is very nice bay here nearby, south of marina piccolo, near that cape in front of Cagliari.
clear water and sandy bottom !

a bit further east is nice long sandy beach Poetto,

and not that far away, south-east of marina Capitana are also a few nice anchorages

look here what they craned from my new neighbour, a 30m Moonen "Mrs B"

Oooh that looks like a nicely tricked up Ducati Scrambler. My ambition is to buy a boat big enough on which to store a decent sized motorbike;)

Well, I'm not daring to compete with the type and number of toys that can be stored on that little ship, but they must be connoisseurs for sure, 'cause they chose the same water softener that I've got in my boat! :encouragement:
They obviously aren't aware that it can also be installed onboard, connecting it straight to the dock and feeding both the boat freshwater circuit and a rinsing hose... Oh, well, they will learn. It's only a Moonen 30m, after all!

why would you take it with you to the Lerins ?
never seen a motor track around there :p

Who needs a tarmac road? Certainly not the owner of that Ducati judging by the off road tyres fitted to it!

A bike like that would be perfect for Porquerolles.:encouragement:
Until then my ambition is to have a boat big enough to store a bicycle :(

Agreed. Bicycles are the perfect boating complement imho - even better if electric.
Btw, where I'm based, I'd be long time dead with a Scrambler.
In fact, I might be tempted to use it for going to dinner at some friends' houses around the island.
And after one of these dinners, keeping a motorbike on its wheels would be quite a feat...! :o

Actually something like that Ducati would be the perfect transport for S Pietro and just think how cool you'd look burbling past all the restaurants on the promenade in the evening;)

You'll be welcome of course, but no worries: our good old Escort (aka road tender) knows the island roads even better than myself by now...
It could eat the Tesla autopilot for breakfast! :D
