Spot the boat is no more!

Doh! And I told jfm and scubaman in the other thread that THEY were GIS wizards.
Not only I knew that I took the above pic personally, I removed the name and I cropped it, but I also threw it into GIS because I was in doubt to have used it already in the past.
And the "Visually similar images" which I got had nothing to see with this boat.
AG, you must know something about GIS that I don't, what sort of search did you make, if I may ask?
I won't use it again for the "single B" STB anyway, promise! :o

Oh, and since I see that some woodwork is still appreciated, here's a better view of the thing!
Spotted in her own home waters btw: the Abbate dock in Lake Como.

PS: with apologies on behalf of Abbate for the fugly fenders....

Hmmm... in fact, I think I may be better than I though! I've always referred to google image results as 'google image search'. If I am honest, I didn't know google had implemented image searching into the google search engine. I always used TinEye for such purposes (which I think was google's test bench for what is now GIS, from when it was in beta).

Anyways, a simple google search of 'Classic Wood Motor Boat', switch to image results, and then a close lookout for anything that appeared to have the unique combination of the stainless steel rails down the side and the stainless plate on the back, and Robert is your mother's brother!

Was this a permissible technique for STB?

Anna, I'd say yes permissible and you still have to research. But try searching along the lines of 'white plastic boat sunpad' and it gets much harder! :p

The one from about 3 weeks back had what I thought was a fairly unique twin anchor locker hatch, but I still couldn't find a match :)
