Last year I delivered a Saver 750 WA following a sale, in one meter sea. I must say the Italian boat builder is making good improvements in its quality.

Is that a 1 meter sea? Looks like a millpond

I'm not a fan of petrol engines tucked away in closed rooms but am of course aware that there plenty around and that people like them.

Maybe because I was blown up in one once...

Recent fire at a marina on the non tidal Medway,.
Explosion on a small petrol boat, resulting fire caused the mooring lines to burn through, boat then drifted into two other boats , causing fire damage.
The skipper who was working on the boat at the time was taken to East Grinstead and recovering.
Incident was recorded by EA cameras.

The thing is that petrol explodes more than burn. It happens so fast, like a bomb, that you have no chance.

After the blow you get the fire. GRP, petrol in tank, gas.... lots of combustible material around you.

The case I was in was investigated thoroughly by insurance and authorities - the remains of the boat were salvaged too, but no cause could be found.

I have seen it several times in the1980s on the Thames when boats refueling. Petrol vapours spill over decks into cockpit and into bilge no bilge fan used.
The boat pulls away from pumps engine stalls as breathing neat fuel vapours, Continued cranking of starter motor causes spark in bilge and bang!

Oh I don't dispute you need to be careful - dont spill petrol for sure and so on!!!

Sadly diesel boats are a lot dearer to buy.... The risk from the fuel is still there with outboards mind - just the engine is out in the fresh air not tucked in a box.

It was 1.2 in second cut. And about one meter in the first. The perspective on camera on a boat always comes smaller, because you are filming from the camera.
