Huzzah! Fairey Huntsman 28 'Marie Louise' was chucked in the 'oggin at 11.55 this morning, and to our delight she didn't sink! Even the engines behaved themselves. All that remains is a bit of whizzing aro... ahem, careful and methodical seatrials, before handing her over to the now considerably poorer owner. I love it when a plan comes together! So, if you happen to be on the Clyde or in the Gareloch in the next week or so, the blue missile going by will probably be moi.

cheers,

Yes,
but only in the capacity of assistant gofer; the damage is in the 10k region, but discretion prevents me from being any more specific. For that she's got;

a new coachroof
a bunk extension (turns one bunk into a double)
engine overhaul
new exhaust fittings
3 new underwater skin fittings (toilet & sink)
serviced toilet
rebuilt steering
reconditioned stern glands
6 new engine control Morse cables
and a few other miscellaneous bits and bobs

All this and he wants more doing in the winter!

Cheers,
David
